ABOUT US
In For a Penny was founded by Samantha Cantrell in 2015. Samantha spent 8 years working as an Accountant in an accountancy practice in Colchester and has gained vast knowledge in all areas of accounts, taxation and bookkeeping.
She then decided to leave to pursue her dream of owning her own dance school (a strange combination we know!!). Together with her now successful dance company, Samantha also started In For A Penny which is now expanding after being established for over two years.
Samantha is a fully licensed member of the AAT.

Hi, I’m Melanie (Mel)!
I’ve been bookkeeping for around 3 years and have been working at IFAP since November 2017. I have just passed my AAT level 2 and am ready to study AAT level 3 Accounting and Bookkeeping. I'm now looking forward to a successful career in accounting, working alongside Sam at In For A Penny.
I previously worked in the retail industry for approximately 17 years mainly covering customer service but also staff rotas and end of week finances.
My hobbies and interests are stone painting (very therapeutic), shooting with friends, paranormal activity - which I find to be a fascinating topic and not forgetting dog walks with my little family and pets.
